My signature bake is my chocolate chip cookies. It’s my most popular treat. It can be made in large batches, and I can easily share them with my friends and family. It’s a simple classic that my Dad taught me how to make and now my Dad and I have taught my son. He absolutely adores baking chocolate chip cookies with us! Beyond all sorts of confections, custom cakes are my next favorite thing to make because of the creativity they allow for.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
My favorite person to bake for is my son. He inspires me in so many ways and I love to take that inspiration and create edible art to share with him. In addition to baking with my son, I enjoy baking delectable treats for my friends. Whenever there is a themed party, I like to create a confection which is centered on that theme. They are always a hit as I strive to bake something unusual and fun!
How would you use the $10,000?
I would be honored to donate money to causes near and dear to my heart including the Trevor Project and Phoenix Children’s Hospital. I would love to take a master cake decorating course. Additionally, I would love to take some long dreamed of family trips. Japan, Disneyland, and a mother-daughter trip are high on the list.
