This is called a tarte tatin. I’ve made it a few times for family and friends. Everyone always tells me the apples are so soft and delicious. Everyone also loves the buttery crust at the bottom. They are all in shock when I tell them I baked this upside down. You can also make this with pears.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
Honestly I love baking for my husband and my mom. They have always encouraged me to bake and go after my dreams. I bake everything for them. From brownies to cookies to cupcakes to homemade pies. I love baking pumpkin pie for my husband on thanksgiving and apple pie for my mom on Christmas Eve.
How would you use the $10,000?
Well I would love to pay off a medical bill for 5,000 that I got after I had a back surgery this year. With the rest I would like to pay off my credit card that we had to live off because I can’t work and everything is so expensive. I can’t work right now because I was born with a condition called congenital, spinal lumbar stenosis. I am waiting for one more fusion to help so I can work and bake again.
