My smoked caramel cheesecake is probably one of my most interesting treats. Smoking a cheesecake is not an easy feat to accomplish as it can crack easily. The sweetness of the homemade caramel blended with the savory smoke mix for an awesomely, unique tastebud experience.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
There are so many people that I enjoy baking for, but if I had to choose one person, I would say it was my teenage daughter. She has had a hard time eating regular bread, which is the reason why I got into making sourdough. She is also my little baker in the family and we often enjoy baking side-by-side. We always send each other interesting recipes that we want to try out together.
How would you use the $10,000?
I would use it to get out of my small home kitchen and into more of an industrial size kitchen. There’s nothing better than to watch somebody take their first bite of one of my cheesecakes and see the enjoyment on their face. I’ve had many people that don’t even like cheesecake try it and win them over. My four kids are prime examples of people that did not like cheesecake growing up and now they can’t get enough. How amazing would it be to convert more people to the cheesecake way!
