My cake pops are a favorite treat I make. I love how creative I can be when decorating them. Sometimes they are almost to pretty to eat. I make all kinds of ice cream flavors. One of my more unusual flavors uses a dark stout beer. I love to use beer from local breweries. The ice cream has a caramel flavor. I top it off with a homemade beer hot fudge sauce, whipped cream and cherry. My pies seem to be a family favorite. Everything from fruit to cream.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
I bake for so many people. I feel desserts make people smile and happy! Who I bake for the most is my family. We have Sunday dinner and I always include some kind of dessert. I make pies, brownies and homemade ice-cream. The grandkids especially like the ice cream. I have to make sure I put sprinkles on it! My boyfriend's mother was telling about her grandma's peanut butter pie but she couldn't find the recipe. I made one for her and she said it was probably just as good if not better.
How would you use the $10,000?
I love desserts and coffee. I thought possibly of a small coffee and pastry cart. The money would be a great start up. I could always use new baking equipment too. I have tried my hand at roasting my own coffee beans. A coffee roaster would be nice. What goes with desserts, coffee does of course!!!
