My Billionaire Bars reimagine the Southern millionaire bars I grew up buying from my hometown bakery, carrying those nostalgic flavors into a modern, better-for-you recipe. Crafted with real ingredients (like dates in the caramel and almonds with local honey in the shortbread), they prove wholesome baking can still feel indulgent and special. Loved by all, they welcome every sweet tooth to the table. It’s a joy to watch people’s faces when they learn they’re gluten, dairy, and refined-sugar free
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
If I’m being totally honest, the first person I baked for… was me! I couldn’t find treats that felt indulgent yet aligned with what made my body feel its best, so I started making the treats I wished existed. I was so self-conscious sharing them at first, but I quickly fell in love with baking for others. Now my favorite people to bake for are the wonderful folks in my community who preorder each week- it means everything to bake something that makes people feel special, cared for, and nourished
How would you use the $10,000?
My original dream for my microbakery was to turn it into a fundraising effort for my community. I love the idea of hosting ‘bake sales’ with local businesses and rotating the nonprofits we support (I have an extra soft spot for the animal rescues I foster for). I’d use the $10,000 to scale production, upgrade equipment, and hire part-time assistance so I can grow this dream into something truly impactful (and share some joy along the way)
