Black cocoa and caramel cinnamon buns or wildberry cinnamon buns with cream cheese Madagascar vanilla drizzle. I use Asian water roux dough (or Irish potato dough) I believe they are popular because they fill the house with chocolate cinnamon, make everyone happier and are fun to make with kids or a friend and roll out, load with fillings and twist into beautiful shapes that rise and get huge and decadent.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
I always enjoyed baking for my children when they were young but I currently work as a casual cook at a supportive housing shelter and although our budget doesn't allow for daily baking I'll often bring ingredients and treat our clients of all ages to fancy birthday cakes, holiday pies or farm style pastries.
How would you use the $10,000?
I am about to enrol at Thompson Rivers University to get a two year diploma for Human Services as a mature student at fifty five and would use the prize to further my hope to join the frontline workers helping the vulnerable population in our community with recovery or victim services .
