Our signature bake is our Spirited Bundt Cake — a rich, moist cakes infused with premium rum or whiskey. It’s baked with real butter, farm-fresh eggs, and a splash of spirit that enhances its deep flavor and tender crumb. Customers love it for its perfect balance of sweetness and warmth — a nostalgic taste of homemade comfort that’s become a weekly sell-out favorite across Maryland markets.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
My favorite person to bake for is my partner, Joseph — the heart behind JC’s Kitchen. He’s my best taste-tester and biggest supporter. His favorite is our Moll Dyer Cinnamon Whiskey Cake, followed closely by our Coconut Rum Cake. Each one is baked with love, a touch of spirit, and a taste of Southern Maryland soul — a sweet reminder of why we started this kitchen in the first place.
How would you use the $10,000?
We’d use the $10,000 to expand JC’s Kitchen with upgraded equipment, better packaging, and a dedicated workspace to increase production while keeping our homemade quality. It would also help us grow our market presence, develop new seasonal flavors, and donate more of our unsold breads and cakes to local food programs — continuing our mission to share comfort, kindness, and community through every bake.
