My signature bake is my old-fashioned cream cheese poundcake—buttery crumb, tender, and full of flavor. It’s the cake that reminds people of their grandmother’s kitchen, with a modern twist. Guests love that it’s simple, versatile, and pairs perfectly with glazes, fruit, or ice cream. One slice turns first-time customers into lifelong supporters.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
My favorite person to bake for is my late grandmother in spirit and my family at our table. She taught me that food is love, so every cake I make feels like a conversation with her. I bake classic poundcakes most for my family—especially caramel and lemon blueberry—because they bring everyone to the kitchen, talking, laughing, and going back for “just one more” slice.
How would you use the $10,000?
I’d invest in commercial equipment, licensing, and a shared kitchen to increase production; upgrade packaging and shipping so I can safely send poundcakes nationwide; and fund community givebacks—free cakes for families in need and mentoring other cottage bakers who want to grow their dreams too.
