Growing up near Vallejo, California, there was this wonderful bakery that made the best pink champagne cake ever. It took me years to copycat the recipe through taste testing from my family and friends. Once I perfected the recipe, the famous pink champagne cupcakes have been ordered by many and they swear it taste just like everyone’s childhood favorite cake flavor from Vallejo Hometown Bakery. My other top seller is the raspberry pistachio almond cupcake, along with my famous homemade fudge.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
My favorite person is my mom. She is a gourmet chef who inspires and helped me start my little bakery business. I started working and learning from her when I was 10 years old at her restaurant Dona Francisca’s in Benicia California. And have been baking and making goodies ever since. She’s very truthful and tells me exactly what I need to correct with each of my recipes. So that everyone can enjoy my perfect creations.
How would you use the $10,000?
I was rear ended in a car accident on 6/11/25. I was almost slammed underneath a semi truck and killed. I rely solely on my vehicle for my little bakery business and it has been a struggle having to borrow vehicles from my family to continue to provide excellent customer service. I would use the money towards purchasing a vehicle to not have to rely on borrowing my family’s vehicles.
