My signature bake would probably be my cinnamon rolls or my cheesecakes. I sell lots of cheesecakes - even to a local restaurant. But my cinnamon roll recipe is easily one of my pride and joy works that always seems to go over well. Everyone loves a fluffy, gooey cinnamon roll. They make the house smell like a sleepy Sunday morning in your pajamas, with nothing to do but relax and recharge while indulging in a treat for breakfast.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
Honestly my dog. I make him homemade sweet potato treats. Hahaha! But I love baking for EVERYONE! Frankly there is no better feeling than feeding someone. Desserts are so linked to memories of a more innocent time for us all - so I love being able to transport someone back to a place in their own history with something as simple as a pie, cake, or a fresh loaf of bread.
How would you use the $10,000?
The $10,000 would go towards launching my own commercial kitchen to sell my bakes from! I currently use a restaurant’s kitchen for my business as a trade-off for me making the desserts they sell; and that money would mean I could operate independently and have my own fully-licensed kitchen space.
