German chocolate cake takes me (and many others) back to my childhood. It strikes a chord with many people and reminds them of a more simpler time
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
I love to bake for the cast of the Grand Rapids Ballet. Each Friday at noon is know as "Cake Friday" and the artists revel in a sweet treat to end their week of rehearsals. I will make everything from my carrot cake, to Lemon Cake to cheesecake to my all time favorite: the peanut butter and oatmeal sandwich cookie. There is something special about making so many talented people happy by providing something so simple.
How would you use the $10,000?
I would pay off a few bills, make a donation to the GR Ballet and then purchase the very best stove/oven on the market.
