My signature is cinnamon buns, they are a decadent treat made with love and cream cheese frosting. Every year for Christmas I make them for my family, and I never leave with leftovers. They are moist, fluffy and oh so delicious.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
I can’t really pick a favourite but I love baking for my roommate and partner. I make them bannock and cookies the most. My partner is Métis and I have Indigenous roots so the bannock is special to our shared culture, it’s comforting with a nice bowl of soup. I also love making a ton of cookies for the holidays so it’s always fun watching them try them out!
How would you use the $10,000?
If I won $10,000 I would use it to put toward buying a house or starting a small business. I have this dream of opening a cafe by day, soup kitchen for the community by night. I want to share food with my community and especially those who are vulnerable and don’t have access to food in these difficult times.
