Perhaps my sourdough bread would be a signature bake because I do it at least weekly and everyone loves it. We don’t eat store bought bread in our home. Otherwise, I don’t really have a signature bake because I like the challenge of trying new things. I consider myself more a jack of all bakes instead of a master of one. I also believe a jack of all bakes is better than master of none.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
My daughter is my favorite person to bake for because she challenges me. She sees something on Instagram or in a television show and asks me to make it so I’m off and running. She got me into sourdough, eclairs, macaroons, and dozens of other delights. She also loves my cooking and inspires me to create dishes with Asian and Mediterranean flare, widening the palate for our family.
How would you use the $10,000?
I would invest in expanding my business so I could bring chemical, additive, preservative free baked goods back to the forefront of the minds of people in my community. I want to rewild cuisine. I believe we have allowed companies to hikack our foods with synthetic, illness causing ingredients under the guise of affordability. Society focuses on corporate culture, speed, and ease of access to food robbing us of the joy, and reward of cooking healthy from scratch.
