My cakes are the most popular treat I make. I make a moist, soft chocolate cake paired with chocolate swiss meringue buttercream that tastes like hot cocoa ice cream. The texture is soft and delicious and melts in your mouth. Kids and adults love it alike. My favorite flavor to make is matcha cake paired with strawberry swiss meringue buttercream. I made this for my wedding cake and I got compliments from all of the guests and the vendors. I was told it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
I love to bake for my children. I started baking because I wanted to make their first birthday cakes. My love of baking grew from there and I would mail cupcakes home to my father for his birthday, bring treats go the office and became famous for my delicious creations, and then I learned how to make my own four tier wedding cake. I even bring my cakes across states for family birthdays and special events. I enjoy most baking for the people closest to me.
How would you use the $10,000?
I would use it to fix up my home kitchen to dive full time into my home business. This has been a dream of mine for many years. Having this business from my home would allow me to be more involved in my children's lives, contribute more to my community, and to direct my creative flow into treats that I can share with others. I am humble and happiest when people enjoy eating what I have created. Working as a business owner full time would allow me to have time to volunteer in my community.
