Tell us about your signature bake and why it's your most popular treat.
Mango Ginger Molasses Cookies Packed with flavor, made with fresh ingredients, a melt in your mouth crinkle cookie that can be frozen and enjoyed over and over. Loved by young and old for the distinct spices and remarkable texture and flavor.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
I love to bake for my daughter. I have been baking for her for 16 years and it began with homemade teething biscuits. I made her birthday cakes and cupcakes nearly every year and a plentiful supply of holiday cookies, pies and banana/zuchinni/pumpkin breads. Lately I have been baking pumpkin challah, biscotti, mango ginger molasses cookies, and simple white cake with almond flavor.
How would you use the $10,000?
I would use the 10,000 dollars to create a space on our family land to bake from scratch with ingredients I grow and harvest. I would build and begin to fill a pantry with herbs, spices, and flour to make any number of homemade treats and staple must haves, to delectable creations that I have yet to explore. I would set up a small cottage baking business and share my creations with those near and far, as well as blog about the experiences and share recipes.
