My signature bake is the Vanilla Blueberry Basil Cake — a moist vanilla cake layered with fresh homemade blueberry basil filling and finished with smooth vanilla buttercream. This creation stands out because it offers a unique twist on traditional flavors. The unexpected combination of sweet berries and aromatic basil surprises and delights, making it a memorable dessert that captures creativity and refinement in every bite.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
My favorite people to bake for are my coworkers and friends. I enjoy baking for them because they are always open to exploring new and unique flavor combinations. Their enthusiasm and support for my ideas motivate me to keep experimenting and refining my craft, making each bake an opportunity to share creativity and joy through my desserts.
How would you use the $10,000?
If I won the prize money, I’d use it to take the next step toward owning my own bakery and growing my skills as a baker. It would help me invest in better tools, training, and ingredients to keep improving and learning. Most importantly, it would help me build a solid foundation for success and move closer to turning my passion for baking into a full-time career.
