I am known for my gourmet cookies and cupcakes. Each of my loaded cookies are filled with all of the components of the inspiration flavor. For example, I make a s'mores cookie that is filled with all of the components of a s'more inside or my Cookie Monster cookie which has a double stuffed Oreo and a chocolate chip cookie baked inside of it. I also pride myself on my double chocolate cupcakes. The recipe I use is the same recipe my mom used for my birthday cakes growing up.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
My favorite person to bake for is my mother. She is no longer with us but she baked my whole life. I found my passion for baking in my 30s, but I grew up around baking my whole life. If my mom were still with us, I would bake side-by-side with her and learn all the tricks and techniques she knew. She was known for her cakes. She made the absolute best cakes I have ever eaten.
How would you use the $10,000?
I would take my bakery from an in-home establishment to a pastry truck. I want to take my business, Sacha & Sutton Sweet Shack, on the road. Being able to take my treats all over and share them with as many people as possible is my goal. As I always sign off my emails and texts, "I hope to make your day a little happier and sweeter" is the business motto. I honestly just want to make my mama proud and turn this passion into a career.
