My signature bake is a lemon meringue cupcake - a soft lemon sponge filled with homemade lemon curd, topped with silky meringue butter ream and candied lemon zest. The balance of tart and sweet makes it irresistible, while the fresh lemon flavour keeps it light and refreshing. It's my most popular treat because it combines nostalgic comfort with a modern twist - every bite feels like sunshine, and people always come back for more.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
My favourite people to bake for are my family and friends. They appreciate the love and effort that goes into every treat, and their smiles make all the time in the kitchen worthwhile. Baking for them let's me share a part of myself and create moments of joy and togetherness. Seeing their reactions - especially when they take that first bite - is the sweetest reward. I bake an Israeli Chocolate Cake most for them.
How would you use the $10,000?
I would use the money to help my family and I settle into our new life in Canada. I'd start by saving part of it for essentials like rent and a vehicle. I would set aside a little to explore my new community and share my baking with others - a sweet way to connect, make friends, and start feeling truly at home.
