My sourdough cinnamon rolls with homemade cream cheese frosting are my signature bake because they perfectly marry time-honored technique with indulgent comfort. Each roll begins with a naturally fermented sourdough base, giving it a depth of flavor and a tender, airy texture that can’t be rushed. The cinnamon-sugar filling is rich and aromatic, and the rolls are baked until golden brown, with edges that are lightly crisp and centers that are irresistibly soft.
Who is your favorite person to bake for and what do you make most for them?
My favorite people to bake for are my husband and our two children—my greatest cheerleaders. Their smiles, excitement, and little celebrations in the kitchen make every batch worthwhile. While I bake a variety of treats, I find myself making browned butter chocolate chip cookies for them most often. The nutty, rich flavor and gooey, melty centers are their absolute favorite, and seeing them savor each warm cookie reminds me why I love baking so much—it’s all about sharing moments of joy.
How would you use the $10,000?
I’d reinvest $10,000 into my micro bakery by upgrading key equipment for consistency, sourcing premium ingredients for our signature sourdough and cookies, improving packaging and branding, funding marketing and local events to grow our customer base, and experimenting with new recipes—all to enhance quality, efficiency, and the handmade experience that defines our bakery.
